MIRANDA DEL CARMEN GARZA
I’m Miranda Garza — a Mexican filmmaker based in Savannah, GA. I write, direct, and edit films that live somewhere between psychological drama, surreal horror, and visual art. My stories are raw, emotional, and a little chaotic — just like life, but stylized.
I’ve written and directed narrative shorts like Killer Threads, a psychological horror set in the world of high fashion; The Appointment, a slow-burn thriller about revenge and identity; and The Midnight Slash, a tension-heavy descent into paranoia and control. I’m all about character-driven stories with visual bite — and I always aim to say something deeper underneath the chaos.
I’ve also worked on fashion films, where I get to blend aesthetics, rhythm, and feeling into something more abstract. I edit too — though I’m less into traditional narrative cuts and more into music videos, fashion visuals, and anything that lets me experiment with sound, color, and emotion.
I’m inspired by vintage fashion, 70s cinema, and stories that aren’t afraid to be bold or uncomfortable. If it’s emotionally intense, visually striking, and a little unhinged — that’s my language.
